Karthika Deepotsava, celebrated during the sacred month of Karthika (October–November), is one of the most visually and spiritually enchanting festivals at Shri Amruteshwara Temple. As dusk falls, the entire temple complex is lit up with thousands of glowing oil lamps, creating a breathtaking sea of light that symbolizes the triumph of divinity over darkness. Devotees gather in large numbers to offer deepa daana (lamp donations) as an act of devotion and gratitude, seeking blessings for peace, health, and prosperity. The temple resonates with the sounds of bhajans and Vedic chants as people sing praises of Lord Shiva. Special poojas and aartis are performed, and the ambiance is further enhanced by intricate rangoli and floral decorations. Families participate together, lighting lamps on temple steps, courtyards, and around the sanctum, creating a serene and magical atmosphere that deepens the spiritual connection for every visitor.
