What is the significance of the monkeys at the temple?
The monkeys are considered divine guardians of the temple. A ritual called "Vanara Seva" is performed daily, where rice prasadam is offered to the alpha monkey, called Karinja Dadda, and his group. Harming monkeys is strictly prohibited.
